| The wedding was awesome [: nice to see someone i'm so close to get married! the whole ceremony and banquet really reminded me of how special each of our relationships with God is! and how it's like when each of us was saved, the whole ceremony was attended by all the angels, and they rejoiced and sang over us!
Then there's all the ones that we love who are in tears and crying out of full Joy! Each individual who was saved had a huge ceremony, beyond any earthly wedding! That includes you and me! and now we are just in that time period between the ceremony and the banquet :D i'm so excited to be up there soon!
The wedding was such a joyous moment! Yet compared to the marriage with God, it's trivial... that blows my mind!

| "Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, while evil people and impostors will go on from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived." - 2 Timothy 3:12-13
Take a look at the words I bolded. The word desire implicates that not only those who are living a godly life in Christ Jesus, but those who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus. This leads to the implication: will be persecuted. I have learned that semantics in scripture are very significant as I continue to, slowly but surely, learn the biblical Greek (which we have always been told, but until you study it for yourself, you won't discover how deep this truth is).
There is no if about this statement, but rather, we are promised that as followers of Jesus Christ, we will be persecuted. A conterfeit Christian will not be persecuted his whole life because Satan himself uses complacency and comfort in the lives of Christians to keep them away from God, and although they go to church every Sunday, tithe, and follow all the traditions and "religion" of Christianity, they haven't given their Lordship over to him. In the book of Revlations (3:14-22), these people are refered to as lukewarm. Jesus' use of words in this passage describes a non-believer (blind, poor, wretched, pitiful, etc.), and Jesus makes it very clear that he will spit these people out of his mouth because they have so much more chance of coming to Christ if they were cold than lukewarm.
Jesus is very clear in Matthew 16:24-27 about denying yourself and replacing all your wills and desires for his. He also states in John 15 that anyone who does not bear fruit will be gathered and thrown into the fire! This is something to deeply pray about.
It is a blessing to be persecuted. Read John 15; another instance where Jesus tells us that we will be persecuted. Persecution affirms your faith, especially if you die for the sake of the gospel (Matthew 24:27). So many American Christians are not persecuted because they won't speak up about Jesus. I can go on for hours with scripture and preaching, but rather, I want to conclude by quoting two of my favorite pastors: Francis Chan and John MacArthur.
To put this first quote in context, it refers to the more-than 50,000 who are in hiding this very moment in Orissa, India, and all those there who have been martyred, dismembered, burned alive, and have had their homes and churches burnt down.
- "They don't have to suffer persecution either (refering to American Christians) if they would just shut up about Jesus" - Francis Chan
- "If persecution came to America, we'd see a very different kind of Christianity" - John MacArthur
Do you speak up for Jesus Christ?

| http://miniature-earth.com/ Then check this out! If more than 3 billion people in the world live off less than $2USD a day, then even the poorest of us "Americans" can't claim we're poor. It breaks my heart that as I wonder what will happen in the future of my life, these people wonder if they will even make it to the end of the day alive. I'm gonna do what I can and give up my luxuries for their sake. I can't help but just have compassion for all these. I'm gonna connect with Children's Hunger Fund (because they are the best and 99.4% of everything they receive goes straight to the aiding them). I'm going to strive to give 50% of what I thought was my oh-so-dear "engineering salary." Loving your neighbor as yourself does not mean to just be convicted or feel bad for them. It means doing something. I'm not going to just talk about being Christian, that so many of us do, but show my Christianity, which so many of us lack. http://juststopandthink.com/movieextras.php
